SAP NetWeaver Java
The prerequisite for adding a system for SAP NetWeaver Java is to have a configured HTTP destination to an external server. For more information, see the steps required for the configuration in the chapter Configuring an HTTP Destination for SAP NetWeaver Java.
Proceed as follows to add a new system for SAP NetWeaver Java monitoring:
-
Start transaction /DVD/MON.
-
In the main toolbar, click Add system (Shift+F1).
-
Select the main system type SAP NetWeaver Java.
-
Click Confirm.
-
The screen CrystalBridge® Monitoring appears.
-
In the Destination field, enter the configured HTTP destination.
-
Click Check HTTP.
If the error User used in HTTP destination ‘ZTH_PI2_TEST’ has initial password occurs, the defined user in your HTTP destination has an initial password defined. Log in to the PI system with this user and change the initial password.
If any other error occurs, the HTTP destination is probably not configured correctly or the target system is unreachable. You can check and maintain the HTTP destination by clicking Maintain HTTP or by starting transaction SM59. In addition, you can try to access the service http://<host>:<port>/monitoring/SystemInfoServlet to check whether this service is accessible.
-
The additional information is automatically prefilled.
-
Optional: You can change the System description.
-
Optional: You can change the System name.
-
Click Confirm.
-
A screen appears with the auto-detected database server(s) for the SAP NetWeaver Java system.
-
Ensure that the Monitor flag is selected.
-
Click Confirm.
-
The system for SAP NetWeaver Java monitoring has been added.
-
You can start the monitoring by clicking Start default monitoring in the menu bar. This starts the collector jobs for PI monitoring.
